My Morning Routine

     This is how I start my morning off. Each day is a gift and I try to be aware of that at all times. In order to live in a state of gratitude, I do these things at the start of each day. I like to recommend these things to the people on my team, so I decided to share it with everyone. Feel free to start this routine yourself, and let me know how you feel. You can do it in the order I do, or switch it up to something you're more comfortable with. Also, if you don't have enough time each morning to do all of these things, you can always do some later in the day or evening.

VISUALIZATION

     I love to begin my day with thinking about my dreams. I visualize my huge goals and imagine as vividly as I can every single detail. I try to feel the feeling as well. What I mean by that is: I try to feel the excitement or joy or accomplishment that I will be feeling in the moment of reaching the goal. I also use a vision board. I take a few minutes each morning to look over it and visualize what I want in my life. I believe that what energy you send out into the universe will come back to you, so that's why I use visualization. It can also be used for much smaller tasks as well. You can visualize yourself getting a promotion or doing well at a meeting. I like to visualize myself living my best life and being the best version of myself that I can.

AFFIRMATIONS

     I talk about affirmations all the time and it's because I love them. Saying positive things, again, puts all that positive energy out into the universe. As a physics nerd, I believe that the universe responds to this energy. It has to. This isn't some hocuk pocus, as many people might think. After studying quantum physics I became very aware of the ideas of our consciousness effecting our physical world. I say 'I am in perfect health and wellness'....and 'Abundance flows into my life with ease' a lot. Those are definitely the 2 I say most frequently. You can check my list of affirmations in this section of my blog as well. Use the positive saying to help remind you and keep you focused on your goals. You deserve to achieve your goals...tell yourself that, and build on it from there.

MEDITATE

     I talk about meditation a lot. I believe everyone could benefit from this practice. Taking a few moments of silence for yourself has an amazing effect on the body, mind, and spirit. Try it by sitting in an area free of distraction. Breathe deeply. You can say a chant or prayer her if you like as well. I say 'om-mani-padme-hum' which is a chant used by Tibetan monks. I feel that this is something you shouldn't kip. Practice daily and reap so many rewards. It will start your day off peacefully and calmly.

EXERCISE

     Make time for yourself to get in 30 minutes of exercise. Movement is critical to boosting mental clarity. My team and I are dedicated to completing a 30 minute workout each day. Most of use the 21 day fix; however, Beachbody offers so many other programs. There's something for everyone- no matter what your goals are. READ

     For those of you who know me-- you know that I'm obsessed with books. I read a lot! Like a really lot! I love it. I have many bookshelves in my house, and they're all overflowing. I use them as personal development. Everyone on my team does this too. *Job requirement ;) Personal development are books, audio books, webenars...something that helps you in an area you'd like to improve. We all need guidance toward personal growth and books are the perfect way to better yourself. My goal is to be better every day. Just try to be the best I can every day and never compete with anyone. I always suggest a minimum of 10 minutes on personal development. All other reading is a bonus. I bonus read a lot!

JOURNAL

     Journaling helps you capture ideas and lessons learned. It will help you look back. You might be pleasantly surprised by your own insights when you re-read some of your stuff in the future. I use mine to be ever mindful to be grateful. I call mine my gratitude journal. lol. I love doing this...it's something I've always been fond of. I have many books with writing, drawing, poetry-- they're treasures. You owe it to yourself to journal.

     So those are the things I do everyday to make sure I live my life with gratitude. These practices keep me mindful to appreciate all the things I have. I hope you give these a try. Let me know how they make you feel and if they're things you'll continue to do in the future.
